Recap–Thursday, May 5th Market Crash
What a crazy day!! In 8 years of trading I have never seen the DOW take a trip down like it did this afternoon. We were working several buy orders at the time and due to the breakdown in market order, we were unable to buy at the bottom. With the specialist system pushed to the sidelines in favor of electronic markets, there is no clearer argument for the old way of trading. Imagine if this had been a real sell off!
